Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MopMob Technologies Ltd handles personal data for clients, cleaners, partners, website visitors, and people who contact us.

Who we are

MopMob Technologies Ltd is the controller for the MopMob website, portal, apps, cleaning operations, support, and quality-review services unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

Data we collect

  • Account details such as name, email, phone number, role, preferences, authentication identifiers, and account membership records.
  • Client, property, and booking details such as addresses, access instructions, iCal/calendar URLs, cleaning requests, managed client records, notes, reports, invoices, and payment status.
  • Cleaner application and work details such as identity-document metadata, right-to-work evidence, DBS or insurance records where provided, availability, home work area, check-in/check-out events, job notes, photos, location evidence, payout records, and admin approval history.
  • Messages, support requests, issue escalations, call or chat content, photos, voice notes, Mopster-assisted summaries, and quality-review outputs.
  • Technical, security, and consent data such as device identifiers, IP address, browser, user agent, logs, cookie data, advertising or analytics consent choices, and audit events.

How we use data

  • To create accounts, authenticate users, assign roles, provide the portal, process bookings, run cleaning jobs, send notifications, and generate reports.
  • To process payments, invoices, refunds, cleaner earnings, and payout approvals through Stripe and our payment records.
  • To verify cleaner identity, right to work, eligibility, conduct, performance, and job evidence.
  • To protect clients, cleaners, properties, and MopMob by investigating access issues, damage reports, complaints, fraud, abuse, legal claims, and platform security events.
  • To translate content, summarize messages, create checklists, review photos, and support Mopster features. Automated output can be wrong, so important decisions can be reviewed by MopMob staff.
  • To measure website visits, advertising campaigns, and conversions where you have allowed optional analytics or marketing cookies.
  • To improve the service, analytics, reliability, training, and customer support while keeping access limited to people and processors who need it.

Lawful bases

  • Contract: to provide requested cleaning, portal, account, report, billing, and support services.
  • Legal obligation: to keep financial records, handle tax/accounting duties, support right-to-work checks where applicable, and respond to lawful requests.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent fraud, run operations, quality-check cleans, improve the service, defend claims, and manage partner-owned client records.
  • Consent: where required for optional marketing, advertising measurement, non-essential cookies, or optional features that need explicit permission.

Who we share data with

  • Cleaners and clients only to the extent needed to complete and evidence a job. For example, cleaners may see access instructions and clients may see job reports.
  • Partner or organization accounts where a property or client record is managed by that partner, so they can separate costs, operations, analytics, and support.
  • Processors such as Firebase/Google Cloud, Stripe, Google Ads/analytics services, email/SMS/push providers, maps/address providers, automation and translation providers, logging/security providers, and hosting tools.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or buyers/investors if needed for legal, corporate, or security reasons.

International transfers

Some processors may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect the data under UK data protection law.

Retention

  • Account, booking, property, report, message, invoice, and support records are kept while needed for the service and then for a reasonable period for tax, accounting, legal, dispute, security, and audit reasons.
  • Financial records are normally kept for at least six years after the relevant tax/accounting period.
  • Cleaner verification, job evidence, and approval records are kept while the cleaner account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle complaints, disputes, insurance, safety, and legal requirements.
  • We delete or anonymise data earlier where it is no longer needed and no legal, security, operational, or dispute reason requires us to keep it.

Your rights

  • You may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data where the law gives you that right.
  • You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. This will not affect processing that happened before withdrawal.
  • Contact hello@mopmob.co.uk to exercise rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

Security

We use role-based access, authentication controls, audit records, encryption in transit, cloud access controls, least-privilege operational access, and processor due diligence. No online service is perfectly secure, so users must keep account credentials and property access details confidential.
